Dorothy Lorrine Hunter Desper, 77, of Louisa, Virginia passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 13, 2018.  Born August 27, 1940 in Louisa, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Howard Sam and Rebecca Hunter.

She was married to the late Henry Lawrence Desper (Peter) and preceded in death by one brother, William Lewis Hunter and three sisters: Marion Hunter, Helen Mae Hunter and Marie Davis.

Surviving are her children, Lawrence Henry Desper (Skeeter) and wife Ta-Tanisha of Waldorf, MD and Debra Ann Desper of Richmond, VA; three brothers, Howard Hunter (Willie), Thomas Hunter (Rosetta) and Bishop Linwood Sawyer (Yvonne); one sister, Fannie Shelton (George); one aunt, Martha Shelton; sister-in-laws Joyce Price, Patricia Desper and  Shirley Desper; and brother-in-law Albert V.  Desper.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, one great grandson, and one step-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Rising Sun Baptist Church, 6829 Fredericks Hall Road, Mineral Virginia with Rev. Austin G. Bates, officiating. Interment and repass will follow at Zion Travelers Baptist Church, 3662 Roundabout Road, Louisa, VA.
