Dorothy Marie Christmas, 57 of Gordonsville, Virginia entered into Heaven's Gates on November 23, 2016.

Dorothy was born on August 23, 1959 to Phillip and the late Gracie Carter of Fluvanna County, Virginia. She grew up in Fluvanna and attended Fluvanna County Public Schools.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother, Gracie Carter; her maternal grandparents, Ralph and Francis Christmas and her paternal grandparents, Philip and Viola Carter.

In her transition to heaven, she leaves behind to treasure her awesome memories: her husband, William E. Christmas; her son, Travis Christmas; her daughter, Cassie Christmas Zarco and her father, Philip Carter, Jr., and his wife JoAnn Carter. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Gustavo Zarco; her granddaughters, MaKayla and Gabriella; her sisters, Florine Swift (Jeffrey) and Emily Clark (Robert); nephews, Keith, Curtis, and Robert; nieces, Jessica and Ashley and her dear and loving friends, Rosa Burruss, Chiquita Brown, and Sean Hewitt and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2016 at First Baptist Church, 102 Meadows Ave, Louisa, VA 23093. Interment will follow in the Christmas Family Cemetery.
