On Thursday October 21, 2021 around 6:15pm, an angel came in the room and said my child it is time to come home. Doris Ann Graves departed this life at the age of 57. Doris was born on January 6, 1964 to the late Rev. James Graves and Naomi Stella Graves at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.

Doris Ann Graves was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Graves, her brother, Donald Lee Graves, her niece, Angel Tilia Graves, and her grandparents, Henry and Rosa Graves and John D. and Stella Harris.

Doris had a sweet spirit and always greeted others with a smile. She joined the Zion Travelers Baptist Church at an early age. Doris loved watching TV, cutting coupons out of the paper, and shopping with her family. Doris attended the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind in Hampton, VA. The Graves Family would like to thank Doris' care takers Rita and Roseann for many years of service. The Lord kept them in good health and Doris received excellent care while in their hands.

She leaves to cherish her memory, a loving mother, Naomi Stella Graves, sisters, Eunice Naomi Graves, Darlene Lynn Graves (Tim), Diane Desper Graves , two brothers, James Eugene Graves, Lawrence Leroy Graves (Patty), one aunt, Minister Margaret Scales, two uncles, Rev. John Harris (Irene) and Floyd Harris (Janette), a niece, Tiffany, and nephews, Lawrence (Tony), Phillip, Joshua, Isiah, and Elijah, a great niece, Aubrey Poindexter and great nephew, Neko Graves.

The family would like to thank everyone for their many acts of kindness during this time. Doris was loved and she will be missed.
