IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dennis Palatucci
Webster
June 9, 1939 – June 12, 2024
The most important fact about the life of Dennis Webster on earth is that he believed in and tried to follow Jesus Christ, the Lord, and Savior of the Universe. Like all of us, he was not perfect in his following of the Lord. Yet, he believed in a power greater than himself and looked to God for love, inspiration, and consolation. He showed this fundamental orientation in many years of faithful service to All Saints Episcopal Church in Dale City Virginia and, since he moved to Mineral, in his attendance at Christ Anglican Church in Orange. You could also see his devotion to the principles of Christ in his mentorship and encouragement of young people, serving as a second Dad to his nieces and nephews, his intense advocacy for his wife Jeanne's medical care when she fell ill, support of many Christian charities, his running dialogue with various people on matters of the faith, sending books to inquiring people about the meaning of life, correspondence and support of a prisoner and many other actions.
Dennis was born on June 9, 1939, at French Hospital in New York City, to Thomas Webster Palatucci (born April 1st, 1911, in Brooklyn, New York) and Laura Palatucci (born June 14th, 1915, in Plains, Pennsylvania). On April 26, 1946, he was baptized at the Church of St. Brendan in Brooklyn. On June 24, 1954, the Supreme Court of New York approved the change of the last name of Thomas, Laura, Dennis, and his brother Barry from Palatucci to Webster. For the rest of his life, Dennis was known as Dennis Palatucci Webster .
He graduated from James Madison High School in New York City in June of 1957 and then enlisted in the National Guard and later in the Army. In the Army, he received commendations for his marksmanship and his service as an Administrative Specialist. He was honorably discharged on February 9, 1962.
Dennis ' journey of matrimonial love with Almeda Jeanne began on July 5th, 1963, when they were married in her home state of Kansas. After their marriage, Dennis went to Ben Franklin University in Washington, DC at night, while working during the day, to earn his bachelor's degree. He and Jeanne then settled in Dale City and, in 1981, joined All Saints parish. He worked for many years in finance and accounting for Flippo Construction and served on the Finance Council for the church. Dennis and Jeanne did not have biological children, but they were second parents to their nieces and nephews and their home was a second and loving home to children in Jeanne's day care – i.e., Nicole Bouquet and Matthew Bouquet, Shawn Eastman, and Brian Eastman. After a long struggle with vascular dementia, Jeanne died on September 10, 2013.
On March 22, 2014, Dennis married Julie Anne Kirk. He then spent the next eight and a half years lovingly caring for her and ensuring she received proper medical care for her multiple sclerosis. Julie died on December 4, 2022, and Dennis then spent his remaining days alone.
On June 12, 2024, local authorities found Dennis dead in his home. He died from complications of atherosclerosis. Dennis's parents and his siblings Barry, Bruce and Patricia pre-deceased him. His brother Karl and nieces Barbara Reeve, Karen Capell, and Cathryn Allinder, Bruce R. Webster and many nieces, nephews survive him.
