Delores Harris was born July 23, 1928 in Wendell, North Carolina to the late Deacon Thomas Harris and the late Deaconess Mamie Debnam Harris. She entered into eternal rest peacefully on December 11, 2021.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Henry Anthony Goodson, her granddaughter, Tonetta Chambers, her great grandson, Markis Perry, and her siblings, Ronald Harris, Deacon Willie Harris, Thomas Harris, Jr., Charles E. Harris, Sr., Marjorie Harris Ritter, Mamie Harris Scarboro, Lottie Harris Dunston, Don Ameche Harris, Sr., Deacon Joseph Harris, and Della Harris Clemons.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a loving and devoted daughter, Brenda Witherspoon Taylor; ten grandchildren, of those, loving and devoted grandchildren, Kendra Taylor Smith (Kenton) of Nashville, Tennessee, Kenneth Taylor, Jr. (Tiye) of Newport News, Virginia, Brenton Taylor (Lauren) of Bowie, Maryland, and Kenton Taylor of Richmond, Virginia; seventeen great-grandchildren, two of which reared, Wayne Goodson (Angel) and Anthony Goodson (Demi), both of Richmond, Virginia; eleven great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Frances Harris Montague and Katie Harris Jones, both of Wendell, North Carolina; a loving adopted son, Roy 'Darling' Belfield, Sr. (Brenda) of Richmond, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends between Richmond, Virginia and Wendell, North Carolina.
A Public Viewing will take place on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at William J. Manning Funeral Home, 700 N 25th Street, Richmond, VA 23223, from 4pm to 6pm; Funeral Service will take place in Zebulon, NC on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 11am; William Toney's Funeral Home, 218 Barbee Street, Zebulon, NC 27597.
