David James T. Morris, 74, of Louisa, VA, departed this life peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at his home. Born in Louisa, he was one of ten children of the late Clifford and Rachel Morris.
David was a member of County Line Baptist Church. He attended Louisa County High School and had worked at Duke's Auto Parts in Hadensville, Virginia since 1981, remaining there until the day he passed. His workplace and coworkers were like family to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Rachel Morris; his son, Jonathan James Price; his brother, Calvin Morris; and his sister, Kathleen Morris-Bruce.
He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Johanna Price Johnson (Mitchell) of Charlottesville, VA; his grandchildren, Moesha Mills and Jerry Harris, both of Charlottesville, VA; two brothers, John Morris (Shirley) of Louisa, VA, and Clifford Morris (Hilda) of Goochland, VA; five sisters, Gladys Shelton of Glen Allen, VA, Mattie Hackney of Haymarket, VA, Geri Cruel (Harold) of Centerville, VA, Frances Brown (Charles) of Glen Allen, VA, and Vernell Phillips of Woodbridge, VA; and a special sister-in-law and mother figure, Shirley Morris of Louisa, VA. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
David was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to everyone whose life he touched. He loved going to the racetrack, attending car shows, working on cars, and cutting wood. While he was serious, he also knew how to crack a good joke. David loved helping everyone.
To the Morris family, we at D. D. Watson offer our most sincere sympathy and condolences. Our prayer continues to be that your abiding faith in God will lend to you a measure of comfort that will strengthen and sustain you during your time of sorrow.
It is during such times as these that we draw upon our faith, stand upon our scriptures, and rely upon our God. There is no question that in this and through this, God will keep you, comfort you, and sustain you. You and your family are forever in our prayers.
