It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Darryl King , a man of unparalleled character, on February 21, 2025. A native of New York, NY, Darryl was born on February 4, 1959, to the late Bertha King. He was a charismatic figure whose laughter brought joy and whose loyalty inspired trust. His dedication to his work as an Owner-Operator for All Kingz Transportation LLC was evident in his commitment to safety and efficiency. Even after his retirement in 2024, Darryl's love for the open road never waned.

Beyond his professional life, Darryl had a passion for dancing, playing chess, listening to audiobooks, and watching action movies. However, his funniest and most supportive nature shone brightest when he was around his family. His son and grandchildren brought him the greatest joy in life.

Darryl is preceded in death by his mother, Bertha King. He leaves behind his loving wife, Ivanov King; his son, Darryl (Madison); bonus daughters Brittany (George)Thornton; Haley Hardy; his sister-cousin Karen Wilson; brothers Anthony King and Rodney King (Patricia); his sister, Pernia King; and his beloved grandchildren, Branson Hayes, Jordyn Thornton, and Zara Thornton, who lovingly called him "Papa Dee." He is also survived by his dear friend and the mother of his son, Dorine Tarver, sister-in-law Javanov Barksdale-White (Chad), Jessica Johnson, Brother-in-law Ricky Barksdale along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

As we remember Darryl , let us do so with the joy and laughter he brought into our lives. His charisma continues to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." In Darryl's case, he made us all feel deeply loved and supported.
