Daisy Elizabeth Wynn Lewis, 81,of Louisa County, Virginia went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

She was born on November 28 1934 to the late Wilson J Wynn Sr and Geneva E Thurston. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Wilson James Wynn Jr, Paul Lenwood Wynn (Bessie), Matthew Alexander Wynn (Mardell), Robert Edward Wynn, Joseph May Wynn and son Norman Stanley Lewis. She is survived by sons Elston (Jeri) and Dwight Lewis, one sister Ernestine Viola Moore (Peter L.Moore II) 3 grandchildren, Morgan Lewis Laster (Donald), Shawnte Murphy and D. Murphy and 6 great grandchildren, and sister-in-law Rosetta, Florence, and Shirley Wynn and a host of nieces and nephews.

She attended Louisa Training School, A. G. Richardson High School and Virginia State College.

She joined Mount Gilliam Baptist Church Old Site at a early age and was a long term choir member and church secretary. She also was part of a gospel trio with her sister Ernestine Wynn and sister-in-law Shirley Wynn and a traveling gospel quartet with her brother Joseph, sister in law Shirley Wynn and James Putty.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Mount Gilliam Baptist Church Old Site, Louisa Virginia. Viewing from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Services starts promptly at 11:00 A.M. Reverend Donald King officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
