Cynthia J Wilson , affectionately known to many as "Tweetly," passed away on October 11, 2024. Born on July 6, 1955, in Orange, VA, she was a compassionate soul who left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She lived by the words of Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Indeed, Cynthia had a knack for making everyone around her feel cherished and valued.

Cynthia married her soulmate, Stephen Wilson, on July 5, 1978. They spent a blissful life together until his passing. With her unique blend of strength and grace, Cynthia created a loving home for their two children, Brittany and Stephen Jr. A dedicated mother, she was the heart and soul of her family, and her love knew no bounds. Cynthia had a successful career as an insurance adjuster at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where she retired in 2020 after years of diligent service. Her unparalleled work ethic and unwavering commitment earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues. Her retirement years were marked by tranquility and contentment in Gordonsville, Virginia, where she resided for 21 years.

Her father, Lester Johnson, and mother, Marion Johnson, preceded her in death. As we remember Cynthia , we are reminded of another quote she lived by, from E.E. Cummings: "I carry your heart with me (I carry it in my heart)." Cynthia carried the hearts of all her loved ones in her own heart, and now, in her passing, we continue to carry her heart in ours.

The viewing will be held at noon on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at the Little Zion Baptist Church, 15116 Tomahawk Creek Road, Orange, Virginia, 22960. This will be followed by the funeral services at the same venue at 1:00 pm EDT. As we gather to celebrate Cynthia's extraordinary life, we encourage friends and family to share their cherished memories and upload photos to the memorial page. Let us remember Cynthia not with sorrow, but with the joy and warmth she brought into our lives.
