Cynthia "Denise" Johnson , age 59, of Richmond, VA gained her wings on Sunday September 4, 2022. She was born to Deloris Johnson and the late Hosea Johnson, Sr on April 24, 1963.

In 1981, Denise graduated from Louisa County High School where she played softball and ran track. She obtained her Cosmetology license shortly thereafter and moved to Richmond, VA where she worked as a hairstylist in various salons. Denise loved spending time with her family, singing and dancing. She was the life of the party and had a beautiful, loving spirit.

Denise was preceded in death by her father, Hosea Johnson of Louisa, VA and her brother, Maurice Buckner of Louisa, VA. She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memory her mother: Deloris Johnson; daughter: Verniece Love (Darryl); two sons: Donte Johnson and Demetrius Johnson; seven grandchildren: Tiana, Josiah, Ishaan, Mekhi, Sa'Ida, Aiden, and Demyra; four sisters; Berlinda Robinson (Wilbur), Geraldine Norfleet, Connie Johnson, and Canest West; three brothers: Rodney Johnson (Chrishawna), Hosea Johnson Jr, and Lowell Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Temple of Deliverance, 5657 Zachary Taylor Hwy, Mineral, VA.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Temple of Deliverance, 5657 Zachary Taylor Hwy, Mineral, VA.
