Columbus "Charlie" Vines, 80 of Louisa, Virginia died on Wednesday, July 29, 2015, at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Born Sunday, December 2, 1934 in Tabor, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Redmond McCannie Vines and Effie Parker Vines. He was the husband of the late Eleanor Henson Vines.

Surviving are sons, DeVon K Vines of Louisa, VA and Charlie C Vines, Jr. of Tabor, NC; daughters, Doristine Wiggins (Willie) of Princeville, N.C., and Joyce Vines of Louisa, VA; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by brothers, James A Vines and William Vines; sisters, Ella Mae Vines Taylor and Irene Vines Council.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015 at the Henson Family Cemetery, Louisa, with the Rev. Michael Crawley, Jr., officiating.
