Clyde Henry Quarles, 91 years old, peacefully transitioned this life on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, after a sudden illness.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Adeline R.; five children: Alvin (Janis), Lonnie (Mildred), Joan, Brando (Nancy), grandson, Darius (Chastity), & a nephew, David, Jr; eight grandchildren, & nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Clara (Horace); four sister-in-laws, and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Thomasson Watson Chapel.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 18, 2015 at Galilee Baptist Church, Ferncliff, VA; with public viewing from 1-2 p.m. with Rev. Reuben Lewis, officiating. Interment with Masonic rites and military honors, will follow in the church cemetery.
