Clinton Medford Henson Sr, better known as "Med" or "Medford" 77, of Louisa, Virginia entered into eternal rest on June 9, 2018, at his home. He was born on January 2, 1941, in Louisa, Virginia to the (late) Eugene and Mary Henson. He is preceded in death by his "Sugar Pooh" Alberta Madeline Burruss Henson, a brother Robert Henson, and sisters Barbara Johnson, Anna Quarles, and Joyce Quarles.
Clinton joined Foster Creek Baptist Church at an early age. He began working at 9 years old for MJ Maddox & Son, "Ralph Maddox" just pumping gas. In later years his craft included mechanics and being known as the neighborhood electrician and plumber. He was the "go to" in the community when any help was needed. Med had no fear of going down into a well to make sure that his friends and family had water. He had a love for Westerns initially but this passion soon included his tablet and cellphone. It was not uncommon to find him fishing or attending drag races prior to his declining health.
In his transition, Clinton leaves to cherish his memories,
his children: Howard Henson, Karen Henson Shepherd, Lisa Washington (Stuart), Clinton Henson Jr, Sandra Henson (Henry); sisters: Ellen Burruss, Sandra Henson and Sadie Burruss all of Louisa and Helen Allen (Curtis) of Gordonsville; grandchildren: Maurice Payne (Leonika), Taurean Payne, Brian Shepherd Jr, Domonick Henson (Jamie), Preston Henson, Bradley Shepherd, LeKendra Bolling (Russell Jr), Broderick Shepherd, Stacy Washington, Caleb Shepherd, Kimberly Henson and Tyresha Ploweden; an aunt, Lorraine Johnson; sisters-in-law, Della Fortune (Lloyd), Lucy Minor (George), Emily Johnson (Harvey) and Clairetha Bristol of Louisa, VA; 24 great grandchildren and
a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services have been entrusted to D.D. Watson Mortician Inc., Homegoing services will be held on
Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 3 pm
at The Sun Chapel at D. D. Watson Louisa.
