Cleo Belline , born on May 6, 1944 in Philadelphia, PA, was a woman of exceptional strength, resilience, and warmth. Her life was a testament to the words of Maya Angelou, "I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it." She lived by this creed, meeting every challenge with unshakeable courage and grace. On January 18, 2024, Cleo , a woman who embodied resilience, departed from this world, leaving an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing her.
For over 30 years, Cleo made her home in Louisa, Virginia. A diligent laborer, she spent her career in the factory industry, demonstrating an unwavering work ethic that inspired those around her. Despite the rigorous demands of her job, Cleo always found time to cultivate joy, laughter, and love. She was known for her infectious laughter, her knack for storytelling, and her ability to connect with others in a profound and meaningful way. As Robert Frost once said, "In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on." Cleo lived these words, persisting through life's ups and downs with a spirit that was undeniably vibrant and enduring.
Cleo joined Thessalonia Baptist Church in 2013 under the servant leadership of Pastor Henry K. Truzy, Jr. She served in the Usher Ministry and the Social Media Ministry. She was responsible for the daily updates and greeted worshippers in the chat room each Sunday. She supported the church spiritually and financially.
Cleo leaves behind a loving legacy in her surviving family members: her brothers, Allen Wright and Dean Wright, and her sister-in-law, Darline Wright. She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Briscoe, her mother, Dorine Wright, and her sister, Portia Childs. Cleo's memory will forever be cherished by her family and all those who knew her.
