Clarence James Burruss entered into eternal heavenly rest on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at The Center for Acute Hospice Care, Charlottesville, Virginia.  He was preceded in death by his parents, the late John and Lucy Burruss; wife, Amelia Price Burruss; brothers, John Burruss, Herman Burruss and Robert Burruss, Sr.; Sisters, Cora Andrews, Carrie Grooms and Joyce Christmas.

He attended the Louisa County Public School System.  He was employed by Dominion Book Store until his retirement.  He joined Springfield Baptist Church at an early age.  He had a great love for his family, especially his grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Patricia Jasper (Bobby) of Louisa, Virginia; two granddaughters, Melissa and Michelle Jasper of Louisa, Virginia; one brother, Lloyd Burruss (Mary) of Palmyra, Virginia; one sister, Marie Christmas of Charlottesville, Virginia; one brother-in-law, Ralph Christmas, Jr.; a devoted caregiver, Debra Holt and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at The Sun Chapel D. D. Watson Louisa, with Elder Steve Mason officiating.
Interment will follow in the Henson Family Cemetery.
