Chester L. Jackson (Cheese) passed away on December 19, 2015 at the UVA Medical Center after a long illness. Cheese was born on November 27, 1953 in Hanover County, VA to Lorraine W. Jackson and the late Richard Coles Sr. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Jackson, Sr.; his brother, Floyd Jackson and two sisters, Emily Coles and Thelma Waller. He joined the Rising Sun Baptist Church at an early age.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Jackson, and long-time companion, Brenda Carter. He is also survived by two children Keisha Jackson (James) and Ricky Houchens (Jenny). He also leaves to cherish his memory five sisters, Joyce Bowles (Harvey), Priscilla Gross, Sally Waller (Purcell), Debbie Coles and Josey Briley (Franklin); seven brothers, Andrew Jackson Jr., Ronald Jackson (Geraldine), Wendell Jackson, Richard Coles Jr. (Brenda), Warren Coles (Loretta), Charles Coles and Clifton Coles (Gladys); five grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, Jaden, Yasmine and Allysa; one aunt, Nadine Glascoe; four uncles, Carter, Milburn, Dempsey and Lawson; eight sisters-in-law, Florine, Felicia, Brenda, Alice, Denise, Claudia, Gladys and Christine; four brothers-in-law, Frankie, Harvey, Larry and Tony; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would also like to thank his eight devoted friends, Mike Jackson, Bob Shelton, Ray Shelton, Lewis Shelton Jr., Milton Shelton, Jim and Lori Pasco, Douglas Water (OG), and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, December 27, 2015 at Thomasson Watson Chapel.
