It is with profound respect and loving memories that we announce the passing of an extraordinary man, Charles William Sewell , known affectionately as "Jersey." Charles was born on December 17, 1949, in Philadelphia, PA, and transitioned from this life on April 30, 2024.

Charles was a courageous man of many talents. He was a supportive husband and a loving father, known for his smart and practical approach to life's challenges. He served his country with pride as a veteran of the Vietnam War. After his service, he embarked on a rewarding career as a laborer in the plastics product industry, working for Klockner Pentaplast Of America in Gordonsville, Virginia, where he spent over 30 years of his life. Charles was a man of faith, a dedicated member of the Living Water Fellowship Non-Dom Church of Deliverance. His faith was a beacon that guided him through the challenges and joys of life. In the words of the Bible, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9), Charles lived by these words, exhibiting strength and courage in all aspects of his life.

In his leisure, Charles was an avid fisherman and a lover of the great outdoors. His passion for nature was evident in the care he took in tending his yard, a task he found fulfilling and therapeutic. He was also a man who lived for his family. His most cherished moments were those spent with his loved ones, as he believed that family was the most significant accomplishment of his life. Charles is survived by his devoted wife, Melody Sewell, his children and their partners, LaTasha (Marcelles) Hill, TraMaine (Jennifer) Hill, Janene (Phillip) Christopher, Charvair Hill, Brandy Sewell, and his numerous grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Nellie Mae Sewell, and his sisters, Myrtle Austin and Charlene Roberson.

As we remember Charles' life, we celebrate his loving spirit, his unwavering courage, and his supportive nature. We invite you to share your memories of Charles and upload photos to the memorial page, to help us remember and celebrate this remarkable man.
