Carrie Michelle Taylor, 62 of Louisa, Virginia passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia .

Born Monday, April 25, 1960 in Louisa, Virginia , she was the daughter of the late Francis Thomas Taylor and the late Carrie Poindexter Taylor.

She was predeceased by brothers, Maurice and James Poindexter, sisters, Naomi and Mary Ann Poindexter

She was a graduate of Louisa County Public Schools.

Surviving are sons, Jonathan Cavanaugh and Allen Taylor, one brother, Aubrey Poindexter (Dorothy), three sisters, Clina Avery, LeContis Meredith and Francis Taylor and beloved companion, Allen Jerome Shelton.

Viewing will be on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 4-7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022 in The Sun Chapel at D. D. Watson, Louisa.

Interment will be in Bright Hope Baptist Church, Louisa, .
