The Lord plucked a lovely flower from His garden on Friday May 20,2022. Carolyn Ann Scott departed this earthly life after a long illness in Fairfax Hospital. She was the only child born to Paul and Shirley Scott on December 15, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York.
Carolyn was raised, went to school, and even taught school briefly in Louisa County, Virginia. She was fondly known for her piano playing, especially at local churches. She was an active soul at Foster Creek Baptist church in Louisa, Va. And at her recent church home, Macedonia Baptist Church in Arlington, Va. Where she was a member of the choir.
After high school, Carolyn graduated from James Madison University and with a Master's degree from Webster University. Her work experience includes School Librarian in Louisa and Fairfax Counties Public Schools as well as with several agencies in the D.C. and Northern Virginia areas; to include the Federal Government, Lockheed Martin, and Mitre Corp.
Her loving family and host of friends will find a huge vacancy in their lives. Some family members include: Merlyn Edwards, aunt, Cousins Vikki Woodard, Glenn Edwards, Arthur Scott Jr., Mckenneth Scott Jr., Kyle Bouknight, Wanda Scott Mcclenden and many cousins.
Family will receive friends in The Sun Chapel at D. D. Watson, Louisa, from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2022, with Burial to follow at Bright Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Louisa, Va.
Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held later at Macedonia Baptist Church in Arlington, Va.
