We celebrate the November 2, 2008 home going of a faithful wife and mother, Carolyn Snead Peters. Carolyn's life was filled with her love of gardening and love for others. Born in Lynchburg, Virginia to Herman and Mary Snead on November 7, 1945, Carolyn met Robert "Bob" Peters at the young age of nine, a year after her mother's passing. In 1964 Bob and Carolyn married, and in 1969 the couple with two toddlers moved to Dale City, Virginia.

In 1971 the Peters joined Evangel Baptist Church where Carolyn served as a Sunday school teacher for over thirty years. She loved the church through whose ministry she came to know her Lord Jesus Christ, continuing to attend even after moving in 1998 to Mineral, Virginia.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 44 years; three sons; a daughter; a grandson; a brother; a brother-in-law; sister-in-law, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We will miss her greatly, but we eagerly anticipate our reunion in glory. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Evangel Baptist Church 14836 Ashdale Avenue Dale City, Virginia 22193 with the Rev. Jack Keep officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the Spring Grove Memorial Park Cemetery Mineral, Virginia.
