Carolyn Ann Pendleton, affectionately known as Carol, was the oldest of three children born to the late William Pendleton and Bertha Morris Pendleton on August 3, 1952 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Carol attended school in Philadelphia and graduated from Germantown High school, in 1970. She attended Penn State University and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Education. Carol's dream was to teach and brighten the lives of the youth. She started teaching at John Story Jenks School for several years, deciding to go back to school and graduate with her Masters in Education from Penn State University. She continued following her dream, teaching at Roosevelt Middle School for the remainder of her career.

At the age of 40, Carolyn was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. For years, she struggled with this crippling disease. As a Christian, God- fearing women, Carol used her faith in God and the power of prayer to help her battle for over 25 years. Carol had a strong hand and a good heart. She was also a member of Woodcrest United Church of Christ in Philadelphia.

Carol stepped into the presence of the Lord on January 1, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Bertha, and brother, Norman. She leaves to mourn her brother, Bill; two sisters-in-law, Madeline and Vanessa; two nephews, William and Eric; three nieces, Melissa, Brittany and Tiffany; one great niece, Promysse; two great nephews, Eric and Adam, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be 2:30 pm Saturday, January 6, 2018 at The Sun Chapel @ D. D. Watson, Louisa, with the Reverend Wesley Pendleton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Spring Grove Memorial Cemetery.
