Carolyn Fay Grooms 57, of Kents Store, Virginia, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 6, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 15, 1966 in Charlottesville, VA to the late William Broadus Grooms and the late Julia Mae Grooms.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elder Joseph Grooms and Frances Grooms; brother, William S. Grooms(Sammie); sister, Darlene E. Grooms and nephew James Grooms.

She was educated in the Louisa County Public Schools and was employed for over 20 years at the Albemarle County Emergency Communications Center and at Westminster Canterbury for ten years. "Beana" as she was affectionately known by her family and friends was baptized at an early age at the Evergreen Bible Way Church by her grandfather, Elder Joseph W. Grooms.

"Beana" was an avid reader who loved to read novels. She also enjoyed working in her yard and spending time with family. She loved shopping with her "sissy" Gail on the weekends, cooking and entertaining especially during the holidays. This was her greatest joy.

She had a deep love for all of her children: the only daughter she birthed; two nephews and one niece that she raised.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Two daughters Sanitha Grooms and Brittany Burgess of Charlottesville, Two sons Elder Roger Burgess (Yolonda) of Louisa , VA and Quentin Burgess of Kents Store, VA ; one granddaughter Saniyah Grooms, two bonus granddaughters Zaria & Zendaya Ramsey, three grandsons Norell Cook, Phazon White and Phanell White all of Charlottesville; three sisters, Connie Henson (Melvin) of Louisa, Va , Theresa Burgess ,Fannie Grooms(Edward) and one brother Anthony Grooms all of Charlottesville, VA; three bonus sisters, Gail Howard (Harry)of Louisa, VA Katina Mills of Louisa and Teresa Johnson(Sean) of Gordonsville, VA; Three aunts her beloved auntie, Frances Parrish of Kents Store, VA; Linda and Fannie Bishop, two uncles Herbert & Joseph Burgess all of Louisa. Va; three godchildren Mitrelle and Harry (Jr) Howard and LaSean Johnson; one bestie Inez Banks "Penny" of Charlottesville and two loving and devoted neighbors Corey & Christine Bishop and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins relatives and friends. Beana will always be remembered as a straight forward "tell it like it is" no nonsense hard working woman that had a loving and kind spirit and a true heart of gold. She will forever be in our hearts.

THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VIEWING. .

Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, October 13, 2023 at Evergreen Bible Way Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
