Carolyn Ann Chambers peacefully slipped into eternal rest on August 10, 2016 at her home. She was born on July 23, 1948, the second of six children born to William Pace Sr. and Florence Harris Pace.
Carolyn joined the Philippi Christian Church at an early age. She was a devoted member. Her delight was in the Lord.
She attended school in Louisa County, VA. In June of 1967, she graduated from A. G. Richardson High School.
On February 24, 1973, she married James W. Chambers. To this union, a daughter, Stacie was born.
Among Carolyn's pastimes was working in puzzle books and reading. She never met a stranger; always greeting everyone with her beautiful smile.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Chambers and her father William Pace Sr.
Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory, a loving and devoted daughter, Stacie Thurston (Bruce) of Louisa, VA; her loving mother, Florence Pace; one sister, Shirley Overton (William) of Fort Washington, MD; four brothers, William Pace Jr. (Leatrice), Freeman Pace, Bernard Pace, all of Mineral, VA and Franklin Pace (Rosa) of Clinton, MD.; her mother-in-law, Marie Chambers; four sisters-in-law, Edna (Charles), Ellasteen, Carol (Wiley) all of Arvonia, VA and MeShell (Willie) of Scottsville. VA; three brothers-in-law Daniel of Scottsville, VA and Wayne and Antonio of Arvonia, VA; five aunts, Sadie Johnson of Mineral, VA, Helen Jones of Washington, DC, Laura Evans, Minnie Clark and Edna Athy both of Richmond, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Philippi Christian Church 7133 Jefferson Highway Mineral, Virginia 23117 with Rev. Temple Anderson, Sr., officiating.
