Our beloved Carla Denise (Creasy) Streeter was born on May 24, 1966 in Washington, D.C., to Carl Randolph Creasy and the late Rev. Betty Jane (Washington) Creasy. The eldest daughter of two, Carla transitioned into her heavenly home on May 18, 2011.
Carla accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Springfield Baptist Church in Troy, Va. She was a product of the Fluvanna County School System and graduated Fluvanna County High school, class of 1984. Carla attended Virginia State University, majoring in English and Mass Communications. While at VSU, she met her husband, Kenneth E. Streeter, in the fall of 1984 and the two were joined in holy matrimony on May 24, 1986. The couple relocated to Fort Campbell, Ky., in September 1988, following her husband's military service. Carla was employed by HCA/West Asset Management, where she worked joyfully as a Client Services Representative for the past six years.
Carla joined the Greenhill Missionary Baptist Church in 1989, under the leadership of Pastor Raleigh A. Jones Sr. Carla answered the call to ministry in June 1996, and in September of the same year, was licensed to preach the Gospel at the Greenhill Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville, Tenn. She held leadership positions in the Greenhill Church, serving as president on the Rosa Parks Society and the Women's choir. In October 2004, Carla distinctly heard the voice of God saying, "I have commissioned you to turn the hearts of the people to me." This became the foundation and basis of her life's calling and work.
On May 5, 2005, following her husband's call to lead God's people in a special way, she co-founded Lighthouse Christian Temple on the streets of Clarksville, Tn. They later moved the Ministry into the garage of their home and ministered there for four years. Hearing the call to unity, the couple reunited with the Greenhill Church and Christian Outreach Ministries, then under the leadership of Angela R. Jones. Carla and Elder Kenneth served as Assistant Leader of the Evangelism Team of the Greenhill Church and Christian Outreach Ministries.
