Calvin Monroe Desper, Sr.,
, 84 of Mineral, Virginia died on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Culpeper Health & Rehabilitation Center in Culpeper, Virginia .
Born Thursday, April 27, 1933 in Louisa, Virginia , he was the son of the late Monroe Desper and the late Bertha Waddy Desper.
He was the husband of the late Gladys Hunter Desper. He was proceeded in death three brothers Robert, Eugene and Henry Desper.
Surviving are sons, Darvin Desper (Michelle) of Louisa, VA and Calvin M. Desper, Jr., of Mineral, VA; one sister Joyce Desper and one brother Vivian Desper (Shirley); he is also survive by four grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Zion Travelers Baptist Church 3662 Roundabout Road Louisa, VA 23093 with Rev. Gilbert A. Bates officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
