Good-bye world, I'm going home! These are the words that Byron Lancott Anderson, Sr. shouted as he departed this earthly life on Saturday, May 16, 2009.
Byron Lancott Anderson was born September 26, 1921 to the late Walter and Mollie Anderson. Two sons, Byron Anderson, Jr., and Presley Anderson preceded him in death.
He joined Branch Fork Baptist Church at an early age and served in the U. S. Army.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Michael Anderson; one daughter, Evelyn (Maxine) Anderson, both of Lynchburg, Virginia; five grandchildren, Kevin, Keith, Phillip, Sade and Carla Anderson; one great grandchild, Jayden Taylor; the mother of his four children, Ruth Hamlett; one brother, Alfred Anderson of Spotsylvania, Virginia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Branch Fork Baptist Church in Spotsylvania, Virginia with the Reverend Darnell Comfort, officiating. Interment will be in the Branch Fork Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military honors.
