Bobby Lee Russell departed this life Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the age of 67 in Philadelphia, PA. Bobby was the eighth of fourteen children born to the late Deacon Robert and Viola Anthony Russell of Mineral, VA. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Monroe Russell and Robert Lawrence Russell and one sister, Rev. Mary Russell Jackson.

He is survived by one son, Sylvester Pierre Alexander Jefferson, Sr.; one grandson, Sylvester Pierre Alexander Jefferson, Jr., Richmond, VA; seven sisters and three brothers, Carol Rivers, Ann Pace, Shirley Russell, Richmond, VA, John Russell, Chesterfield, VA, Charles Russell, Roger Russell, Charles City, VA, Deloris (Sidney) Richardson, Mineral, VA, Claudia (Lee) Banks, Haymarket, VA, Gloria Russell, Altamonte Springs, FL and Joyce Russell, West Palm Beach, FL; two sisters-in-law, Dee Russell, Chesterfield, VA, Lucy Russell, Richmond, VA; one aunt, Eva Mae Anthony, Manakin, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at noon, Ebenezer Baptist Church, 864 Pendleton Road, Mineral, VA 23117 with Reverend William House, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Community viewing will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at noon to 7:00 p.m., Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel, 117 West Street, Louisa, VA 23093.
