Bobby William Banks of Fluvanna County, 57, was born to Walter Johnson and Sarah Williams. He departed this life on March 14, 2012 at the home of his devoted sister, Debra Bates and brother-n-law, Clarence Bates. He is preceded in death by his father, Walter Johnson and mother Sarah Williams; grandmother, Irene Johnson; one son, Kevin Banks; his sister, Fannie Banks; three brothers, Curtis Johnson, Welford Miller and Bobby Johnson; niece, Fannie Banks (Curly Cake) and nephew, Clarence Bobby Banks (TT).

Bobby attended public school in Buckingham County. He was the type of person that when you met him, you would never forget his most precious laugh. His passion was fishing, planting gardens and the love he had for his family. No matter what came his way, you could always see that smiling face. He would give you the shirt off his back.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Lakeisha and Sherrie Barnes of Dillwyn, VA; one son, Michael Carrington of Arvonia, VA; three grandchildren, Jaqwala Jones, JaBain Jones and Jakaia Jones; four brothers, Marvin Johnson of Palmyra, VA, Kalen Eldridge of Charlottesville, VA, Andrew Eldridge of Buckingham, VA and Harry Eldridge of Dillwyn, VA; seven sisters, Hilda Johnson and Edna Chambers of Dillwyn, VA, Diane Rhodes and Doris Pankey of Charlottesville, VA, Darlene Bowles of Arvonia, VA, Debra Bates of Fluvanna County and Nadine Eldridge of Atlanta, GA; two aunts, Pearl Woodson of Arvonia, VA, Gladys Smith of Baltimore, MD; one uncle, Phillip Anderson of Scottsville, VA and a host of other relatives, great aunts, nieces , nephews, cousins and friends.

Bobby, your devoted sister, Debra Bates knows that you and her will have that fishing date. So, Bobby… you were truly loved and will be truly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 19, 2012 at Highway of Faith Holiness Church, 27544 N. James Madison Hwy, New Cantin, VA with the Reverend Virginia L. Agee officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
