Barry Christopher Pretlow , a resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, was called home to glory on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the age of 30. Barry Christopher was born on July 2, 1991, in Norfolk, Virginia to Barry and Lisa Christmas-Pretlow. Barry Chris attended Fluvanna County High School in Palmyra, Virginia and was a member of the Flying Flucos JV Football Team. In 2008, he moved to Midwest City, Oklahoma with his family where he attended and graduated from Carl Albert High in May of 2009. He was a member of the Carl Albert Titans Varsity Football Team. Barry Chris was well known and liked because of his "big" personality and zeal for life and adopted the nickname "VA".

Barry Chris loved and lived life to the fullest bringing joy and laughter to whomever he met. Barry Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William A. Christmas and Mary V. Christmas, his paternal grandparents Francis Pretlow, Wilfred Jones and Lena D. Jones.

Barry Chris was a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Troy, Virginia. He accepted Christ and was baptized at a young age. He always had a smile on his face for those he encountered and was quick to offer assistance to those in need whenever possible. He was a joyful soul to be around and all who knew him loved him. He will truly be missed. May the memories of Barry Chris be a blessing to your heart.

Barry Chris leaves to cherish his memories, his parents Barry and Lisa Pretlow, his sister Brianna Pretlow and niece Aalyiah Lowe and a host of family members, Aunts, Uncles, Great Aunts and Uncles, Cousins, friends and acquaintances.

The viewing is scheduled for 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 28, 2022 at D. D. Watson Mortician, Inc., Louisa, Virginia. A graveside funeral service will be held in the Washington Family Cemetery on Tuesday March 1, 2022 at 1:00 P.M.
