IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Barbara Lee
Holt
July 4, 1949 – October 21, 2019
A Time to Born
Barbara Lee (Hill) Holt, our loved one, a kind, nurturing, loving and compassionate person who never knew a stranger, opened the book of life on July 4, 1949.
A Time For Every Purpose Under the Heavens
Barbara joined First Baptist Church, Louisa, Virginia at an early age and attended Bright Hope Baptist Church, Trevilians, Virginia accompanying her grandparents, the late Joseph C. and Susie B. Hill. She received her education in the public schools of Louisa County and graduated from A. G. Richardson High School in 1967.
She worked at the Zion Crossroads BP/Fas Mart, Zion Crossroads, Virginia and was surrounded by a host of fellow employees and loyal customers. Her job there was a perfect fit for her nurturing personality. She loved the people who came into her life there and they loved her. Her Father would tease her that she loved the store more than the owner. She achieved recognition for 30 years of service at the corporation GPM in 2019. Barbara loved to sing and was an amazing cook.
A Time To Die
Barbara went to her eternal rest on Monday, October 21, 2019, at Hospice of the Piedmont, Charlottesville, Virginia after battling cancer for a brief period of time. She was preceded in death by her parents George E. and Martha A. Hill, her sister, Patricia Powell and granddaughter, Ashley N. Quarles.
