Angie Louise Anderson Mallory was born May 30, 1931 in Louisa County, Virginia. She departed this life at her home on Thursday, March 19, 2009.
She was the daughter of the late Jessie and Howard Anderson.
Angie joined church at an early age and became a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church where she sang on the Senior Choir for numerous years. She attended church until her health failed.
She attended the Louisa County Public Schools and she worked various jobs – her last being Woolfolk Manufacturing until 1975.
Besides her parents, Angie was preceded in death by her husband of forty-one years, Melton Mallory; and three brothers: Richard, Howard, and Raymond Anderson.
She leaves to cherish her memories three devoted daughters: Margaret and Barbara of Mineral and Thelma Carter (Joseph) of Louisa; two devoted sons: Richard (Venus) and Donald (June) both of Mineral; five grandchildren: Travis[devoted], LaTanya, Stacey, and Bryant all of Mineral, and Donald, Jr. 'Dee Dee' of Christiansburg; two step grandsons: Joseph, Jr. (Brittany) and Deaundrey of Spotsylvania; four great-grandchildren: JaShaun, JaKayla, and Jamila of Mineral, and Alexis of Chesapeake; two step great-grandchildren: Brianna and Makayla Carter of Spotsylvania; four brothers: Warren 'Blue'[devoted] (Arlean) of Montpelier, Walter (Clarissa) and Kenneth (Juanita) of Louisa, and James of Charlotte, NC; four sisters-in-law: Shirley Anderson of Washington, DC, Sarah Anderson of Richmond, Adell Houchens (Claude) of Bumpass, and Corine Anderson of Mineral; two caregivers: Mary Anderson [devoted] and Alfreda Morris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25 at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 864 Pendleton Road, Mineral, Virginia.
The Reverend Roger Jones, Sr. will be officiating and Reverend Doctor Joseph Haden will be the eulogist; interment in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel, 117 West Street, Louisa, Virginia from 6-8 p.m.
