IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Angela Genice
Cameron
October 6, 1965 – September 7, 2020
Angela Genice Cameron , affectionately known as Angie, was born in Washington, D. C. on October 6, 1965 to the late Zollie Cameron, Jr., and Arline Lewis Cameron Collins. She was called from life into eternal rest on Monday morning, September 7, 2020 at the residence of her daughter in Louisa County, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Steven Cameron and a sister, Arline E. Greenwood; her maternal grandparents, Benjamin H., and Jessie J. Lewis; and her paternal grandparents, Zollie Cameron I and Minnie Green.
Angie received her formal education in the District of Columbia Public School system. She later moved to Louisa County, in August 1994, where her mother grew up and had returned to live. It was not a culture shock for her because she liked rural living as she loved to visit her relatives in the country while growing up.
Angela was baptized and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior on Sunday, September 16, 2002 at the Frist Baptist Church, Louisa under the Pastorate of the Rev. Thomas Wooden. She actively participated in the Hospitality Ministry.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted daughter and caretaker, Jessica Shelton (Curtis III); five brothers, the Rev. Larry E. Lewis (Carson), Louisa; Alonzo Cameron, Maryland; Zollie Cameron III, Eric Cameron and Jay Cameron all of Washington, D. C.; two sisters, Shea Maria Green (Franklin, Sr.), and Zolline Washington (Kenneth) all of Maryland; four loving grandchildren, Curtis IV, Caleb, Cody and Carly and a devoted and beloved friend and confidant, Alvin Coleman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
There will be a public viewing on Friday evening, September 11, 2020 from 4-7:00 p. m. at the Sun Chapel. Due to COVID-19 protocol, a private service will be held.
