Amelia Price Burruss, 80, of Louisa, Virginia, died on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Louisa Health Care Center in Louisa, Virginia.
Born Friday, December 11, 1931 in Fluvanna County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George and Luenell Brice Price.
She was a graduate of Fluvanna County High School and was employed by the University of Virginia.
Amelia joined Evergreen Baptist Church at an early age, and in later years moved her membership to Springfield Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Bobby) Jasper of Louisa, VA and Janet P. Page of Palmyra, VA; three granddaughters, Margie Smith of Troy,VA; Melissa Jasper and Michelle Jasper both of Louisa,VA; ex-husband and devoted friend Clarence Burruss; and sister-in-law, Emma Price.
She was predeceased by brothers, Curtis O Price, Thomas L. Price and George Price, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Springfield Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Phillip Carter officiating.
Interment will be in Page Family Cemetery, Palmyra, VA.
