Ambrose Rudolph "Ruddy" Robinson quietly departed this life on Thursday, December 4, 2008, at the Washington Hospital Center, Washington, DC. He was born on February, 29, 1956 to the late Van Robinson, Sr. and the late Fayetta Carolyn Carrington Bowles. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Van Robinson, Jr., and Antonio Robinson, a grandmother, Florence Carrington, step-father, Ernest Bowles, an aunt Ethel Jackson and an uncle John Jackson.

Ruddy attended Washington, DC Public Schools. He accepted Christ at an early age and faithfully attended the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he served as an usher. He was also a member of the Friends in Christ Choir of Therismos Fellowship Ministries, Louisa, Virginia. Whenever a task was needed at the church, Ruddy always filled in to help out. He was truly a faithful servant to the Lord. When the elderly in the community needed help, Ruddy was always there and never complained, he always gave a helping hand when needed.

His memory and love will be cherished by one brother Harvey (Joyce) Bowles, Mineral, Virginia; two sisters, Earnestloraine (Raymond) Key, Jr., Gahanna, Ohio and Pamela Jones, Columbia, Virginia; two step-brothers, Larry Coverton and Reginald Willis of Washington, DC; two step-mothers, Artelia Robinson and Genora Coates; six aunts, Lillie Snoddy, Ida Sparrow, Louisa Jackson, April Carrington, Lillian Carrington and Ann Martin; two uncles, Earl Bowles and Eric Carrington; one sister-n-law, Valerie Robinson; two devoted friends, Allison Miles (Chicken) and cousin Christopher Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Friday, December 12, 2008 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church 3845 Shannon Hill Road Columbia, Virginia 23038 with the Rev. Tyrone McCowin officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
