On November 17, 2018, Alreatha Coriene Williams Butler entered eternal rest with our Lord and Saviour.  She was born on March 9, 1946 in Philadelphia PA, to the late Howard Williams and Frances King Williams.  In addition to her Parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Butler, two sisters, Gloria Ann and Mamie (June) Williams, and one brother, Clarence Williams.

Alreatha was educated in the Louisa County Public School System.  She graduated from A. G. Richardson School in 1964. She married James Albert Butler on October 24, 1964.  To that union one child was born, Dr. Lisa Butler.  She worked at various places before retiring from Tri-Dim Filter Corporation.  Dutifully noted was her 37 years of service with the Louisa Manufacturing Company.

Alreatha joined Thessalonia Baptist Church at an early age.  She was baptized under the leadership of the late Reverend Green.  A faithful servant of Christ, Alreatha was a member of the Laborers of Christ Choir, served on the Hospitality Committee, and presided as the President of the Usher Board until her death.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Lisa and Ruby Sarden of Jonesboro GA. She also leaves her siblings, Frankie (Shirley) Williams, Connie (Charles) Reid, Michael Williams, Shirley Williams, and Cecil Williams, all of Louisa VA; two step grandchildren, Justin Ficklin of College Park, GA and DeLaina Sarden of Madison, WI; a granddaughter, Summer Ficklin of Gwinnett, GA; a God-Granddaughter, Seija Wynn of Louisa, VA; a devoted friend Debbie Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Alreatha was very outgoing, she was a great event planner and loved bringing people together.  She loved to travel, entertain, dance, and attend family events.  She was a social butterfly and lived life to the fullest.

Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, November 23, 2018 at Thessalonia Baptist Church 278 Old Country Road Mineral, VA 23117.
