Alonzo Lennie Hughes, 57 of Louisa, Virginia died on Monday, December 6, 2010, at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia .
Born Tuesday, November 10, 1953 in Louisa, Virginia , he was the son of Mary L. Poindexter Hughes and the late Johnie L. Hughes, Sr. He was the husband of the late Cynthia Hughes and Remona A. Hughes.
He was a 1972 graduate of Bell Vocational High School in Washington, D.C., and was employed by Real Estate,III at Zion Cross Road, VA.
Surviving are son, Justin Alexander Hughes and his wife Whitney; daughter, Alonna Kelly Hughes; brothers, Johnie L Hughes, Jr. and Mark M Hughes, and his wife Priscilla; two sisters, Suzette Kim Brown and Sheila M Brown; two grandchildren, Sanaia Quarles and Mariah Gaines. Also surviving are two aunts, Elizabeth Lee and Susie Quarles; one brother-in-law James Anderson.
Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 at First Baptist Church, 102 Meadow Avenue Louisa, VA with Bishop John Marshall officiating.
Interment will follow in the Poindexter Family Cemetery.
