Alonza Dee Coleman, Sr., 97, passed away, peacefully Monday, November 16, 2015. Born December 25, 1917, in Cumberland, VA. He was the son of the late Delafayette Coleman and Lottie Allen James.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife of 59 years, Inez Hackney Coleman and his sons William Turner and Leon Milton Coleman.

Mr. Coleman is survived by this 3 daughters Inez Morton, Frances Priester and Yvonne Johnston, and one son, Alonza D. Jr., one sister, Lottie Davenport Mayo, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Thomasson Watson Chapel 117 West Street Louisa, VA 23093.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Galilee Baptist Church 3598 Three Notch Road Kents Store,VA 23084 with Rev. Ruben Lewis officiating. Interment with military honors, will follow in the church cemetery.
