Mrs. Alice Mary Minor Henson of Louisa County, VA was born on January 9, 1933 to the late Andrew and Hattie Minor. She was called to eternal rest on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 2 AM at the Hospice of the Piedmont House.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Lawrence Emmett Henson.

Mrs. Henson leaves to cherish her memories: her two sons, Reverend Wesley L. Henson and wife, Barbara of Fluvanna and Lawrence A. Minor and wife, Ann of Mineral; four grandchildren, Shaun, Alan, Lawrence and Keairia; one great-grandson, Javon; one great granddaughter, Carralyn Maxine; one sister-n-law, Mattie Henson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other caring relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Rising Sun Baptist Church , 2829 Fredericks Hall Rd, Mineral VA. The officiate will be Reverend Arthur Lee and the eulogist, Reverend Phillip Carter. Interment will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery, Mineral, VA.
