Alfred Robinson of Louisa, Virginia, departed this life on Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA after spending the last few years at the Louisa County Nursing Home. He was born to the late Ellis and Rosabelle Robinson on August 18, 1947. Alfred attended A. G. Richardson Public School and joined the St. John Baptist Church at an early age.

Later he was joined in holy matrimony to Helen Smith. Through this union, three children were born, Teresa Robinson, Sandra Robinson, and Reggie Robinson.

Alfred was employed as a sawmill worker and started out working for Kelvin Perry for many years. He then worked for Channel Sutherland until his health began to fail. Alfred had a passion for small two cycle engines. He loved working on lawn mowers, chainsaws, and weed-eaters. If it was a two cycle engine, he could fix it!

He leaves to cherish his memories; a daughter, Teresa Robinson of Charlottesville, a son, Reggie Robinson of Ashland; his brothers and sisters, William Robinson (Isabelle), Gracie Preston (Kenneth), Ellis Robinson (Edith), Joe Robinson, Carolyn Coleman (Jerry), Steve Robinson (Linda), Wilbur Robinson (Berlinda), Nettie Robinson-Logan (John), Vernon Robinson (Lisa); brother-in-law, Mitchell Thurston and a host of nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his daughter, Sandra Robinson; brother, Richard Robinson; sister, Elizabeth Thurston, and parents Rosabelle and Ellis Robinson.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at St. John Baptist Church, Zachary Taylor Highway, Mineral, VA with Rev. Jerry Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
