Alfred Lee Holt , 75 of Louisa, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Born Thursday, March 11, 1948 in Louisa, Virginia, he was the son of the late John Alfred Jr., and Mary Louise Gilliam Holt.

He was a graduate of A G Richardson High School; a retired truck driver and long time funeral attendant with D. D. Watson Mortician, Inc.

He was a member of Eagle Baptist Church of Louisa, VA. Alfred was a member of Louisa/Temple Masonic Lodge #113.

Alfred was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Barbara Lee Holt and sister, Joyce Ellis Robertson.

Surviving are his son, Michael Holt; daughter, Melissa Holt Anderson; sister, Dianne Holt; devoted sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Hill Cooper; devoted friend Debora Olin; grandsons, Dominique Anderson and Jamari Holt; great grandchildren, Avery Quarles, Jaylynn Quarles and Lilly Grace Anderson, and a host of good friends and relatives.

Public viewing will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 4 PM to 7 PM at The Sun  Chapel @ D D Watson, Louisa.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2023 in the Sun Chapel, D. D. Watson, Louisa with the Reverend Roger Braxton, officiating. Interment will follow in the Bright Hope Baptist Church, Louisa, VA.
